Aside from the gloomy weather, my trip to Frankfurt was really interesting. I'm sharing a few snaps of a the very rainy day. The city has a very unique character of its own and I loved the skyline. It's also a financial hub, and a very international feel.
The city centre is full of Fachwerkhäuser, these old-style German buildings, so you get a taste of more traditional German architecture.
I had tea in this cafe, which kinda looks like it was converted from an old church.
A gold gleam in the gloom.
These buildings are more newly constructed, but in the style of Fachwerkhäuser so they better blend with the existing buildings.
